What this notice covers
This notice explains how SproutJewel handles personal information when you browse this site, place an order, join our list, or write to us. It does not govern a third-party site we link to, or a payment or delivery provider acting on its own account.
Details you give us
Your name, email address, delivery and billing address, a telephone number where you supply one, and anything you write in a note to us. If you are ordering a gift, please make sure you have the recipient's permission before passing us their address.
Order records
What you bought, in which finish, at what price, whether a discount applied, where it went, whether it came back, and the history of any conversation with our customer care team.
Payment details
Our payment provider handles the card itself. We receive whether a payment succeeded, the amount, and a provider reference. We never see or store your full card number or security code.
What your browser tells us
The technical information needed to serve a page securely — browser type, approximate location derived from an IP address, and the small amount of storage described in Cookies & Storage.
Where it comes from
Directly from you, automatically from your device, and from the providers that help us host the site, take payment, screen for fraud, deliver parcels, send email, and answer enquiries.
Why we hold it
- to take payment and to pack, post, and administer an order;
- to provide tracking, handle returns and refunds, and answer questions about a bag;
- to spot fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to enforce our house policies;
- to keep the site working and understand which pages are useful;
- to meet tax, accounting, and other legal duties;
- to send news about collections where you have asked for it, always with a way out.
Who sees it
Only the providers that need a specific piece of it: hosting, payment processing, fraud screening, carriers, email delivery, customer support, data storage, and professional advisers under a duty of confidence. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect people or rights, to investigate misuse, or as part of a merger, financing, or sale of the business under appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not currently share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this notice and offer the choices the law requires before the change takes effect.
How long we keep it
Only as long as it is needed for the purposes above. Order, tax, and accounting records may be kept for up to seven years where the law requires it. Enquiry and security records are kept in proportion to the issue. Anything stored in your browser stays until you clear it.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, and subject to legal exceptions, you may ask to see, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your information, ask how it is used and shared, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, opt out of marketing, or appeal a decision we make about a request. You will not be treated differently for using a right. We may ask for enough information to verify who you are, and you may always complain to the privacy regulator in your jurisdiction.
To make a request, email customercarenow@sproutjewel.com with the subject Privacy Request. Tell us your country or state, the right you wish to exercise, the address you used when ordering, and enough detail for us to find the record. Please do not email a password, a full card number, a government identifier, or documents we do not need.
Children
This shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and where local law sets a higher age for online consent we respect it. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, restricted internal access, and routine patching to protect what we hold. No system is perfect, so please use a unique password anywhere you create an account and tell us at once if you think something connected with an order has been compromised.
Changes to this notice
We may revise this notice as the shop or the law changes. The date at the top of the page identifies the current version, and material changes will receive additional notice where the law requires it.
